Gray, Maine (AP) — A motorist narrowly escaped damage Tuesday when a piece of steel crashed into her windshield and came within inches of her deal with, police said.
The 21-calendar year-aged motorist from New Hampshire was next a automobile that ran more than metal particles on the highway, sending it flying into her Jeep Wrangler on the Maine Turnpike, said Shannon Moss, spokesperson for the Maine Office of Community Security. It broke as a result of the windshield just earlier mentioned the steering wheel.
The sharp piece of steel struck the windshield and shattered glass, but the motorist was equipped to safely pull around, Moss said. She was taken care of at the scene for minor injuries.
Troopers consider that the metallic was a mechanical section from a truck, Moss stated.
