The family of Harris Wolobah, the Worcester teen who died Friday after collaborating in the “One Chip Problem,” said in an emotional job interview with WBZ-Television Tuesday that they want the challenge’s spicy chip eradicated from store cabinets.

“I pray to God that no parents will go by means of what I’m going as a result of,” Harris’ mom Lois Wolobah informed the news station in tears. “I do not want to see any one hurting the way I’m hurting. I overlook my son so substantially.”

Harris, who was a sophomore at Doherty Memorial Large University in Worcester, reportedly obtained the chip from a buddy through faculty on Friday. Immediately after eating the chip, he felt sick and went home. Within just a few hrs, he fainted and died.

The result in and manner of Harris’ demise have not been verified by the Chief Health care Examiner’s workplace. But Harris’ household believes he died of overall health “complications” from ingesting the chip.

Paqui Chips, which makes the tortilla chip, warns in opposition to consuming it if you are allergic to peppers or have any health-related troubles. But Harris’ family members told WBZ-Television set that he didn’t have any recognised pre-present conditions or allergic reactions.
